Family Pick Me Up's

I remember something I told a cousin once, when he was feeling very low and critical of himself. I told him that whatever may come, in 20 years, he, HIMSELF is the one friend who is guaranteed to still be by his side. I then asked him why he was treating that person far less tenderly than he would treat his own best friend and this logic seemed to help. 20 years later, I find I need no excuse for loving the loyal friend in me.
